The Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) is a public administrative institution with legal personality and financial autonomy, headquartered in Yaoundé with a regional office in Douala. It operates under the technical supervision of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon and the financial supervision of the Ministry of Finance.  

IPA’s primary mission is to promote and facilitate investment in Cameroon by supporting the implementation of government policy, improving the investment climate, and working in partnership with public and private stakeholders. The agency assists investors throughout the investment process by providing information, facilitating administrative procedures, issuing investment approvals under the Investment Charter, and offering support services to companies benefiting from investment incentives. It also monitors compliance and performance of approved investment projects to ensure long-term success and sustainable economic impact. As part of its international outreach, IPA showcased Cameroon’s investment potential at AIM Congress 2025, positioning the country as a strategic destination for global investors through targeted presentations, high-level networking, and sector-specific promotional materials.
