UAE Non‑Oil Foreign Trade Reaches AED 1.728 Trillion in H1 2025.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade released preliminary statistics confirming that non‑oil foreign trade climbed to AED 1.728 trillion (US $463 billion) in the first half of 2025. The update, circulated through the Emirates News Agency (WAM), recorded a year‑on‑year increase of 24.5 per cent, marking the highest half‑year figure on record for the country’s diversified trade portfolio. Goods classified as non‑oil exports contributed AED 369.5 billion, equal to 21 per cent of total trade value during the period.

Imports were valued at AED 874.1 billion, while re‑exports reached AED 484.4 billion. Asia remained the leading regional partner, followed by Europe and the Middle East and North Africa, with each region posting double‑digit growth. The ministry statement noted that 18 of the UAE’s top 20 trading partners registered higher volumes, led by India, China, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

Minister of Foreign Trade Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi stated that the results reflect the impact of the UAE’s Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements, streamlined customs procedures and expanding logistics capacity. He confirmed that additional CEPAs are targeted for conclusion before year‑end, which are expected to maintain the current growth trajectory.

The National Bureau of Statistics will issue the final validated trade dataset in October 2025 after reconciliation of customs declarations and banking data. The ministry reiterated that the UAE’s non‑oil trade ambition of AED 4 trillion by 2031 remains on schedule.
