Country Investment Promotion

“Competition between countries for FDI is increasing all the time. Governments and their Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA’s) must have state of the art initiatives if they are to compete and adapt to the changing conditions. Investment promotion has become a business in its own right. In this marketplace the role of IPA’s in both policy advocacy and the targeting of potential investors is increasing in importance all the time. Identifying new investment project initiatives, creating the internal climate to attract investors and, where necessary, identifying new funding opportunities is critical.

This workshop will discuss the criteria necessary to identify and take advantage of these opportunities and the role of IPA’s in the process.
