Amal Mohamed El Malla

She is a private sector development expert with 25 years of experience providing strategic policy guidance on Investment Policy and Promotion; the related political reforms, strategies and institutional framework as well as to Trade Competitiveness(trade facilitation and logistics, trade development & promotion).
In her recent role at the World Bank Group, Amal has held the position of Senior Private Sector Development Specialist and the MENA Coordinator out of the WB Vienna Hub under the Trade & Competitiveness Global Practice. Earlier, she assumed the same role for the IFC’s Extended MENA advisory program from their Cairo, MENA regional hub.
Throughout her work with the WB and IFC, she was responsible for business development, program management and relationship with partner organizations and donors including USAID and EU.
An Egyptian national, Amal holds a BSC in Political Science & Economics from Cairo University and a Master’s Degree in Legal Studies of European & International Business Law from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
